“Homo Virtualis” – Porto's Literary Club - 19 to 30 June 2010

For the first time the Biennial Porto Santo project will be presented through an exhibition, conference (s) and films at the Invicta City of Porto. This event will take place between 19 and 30 June 2010 at Literary Club building located in Porto, Rua Nova da Alfândega no. 22 (next to the Church of S. Francisco, on the waterfront along the river Douro and very close to the birthplace of Infante D. Henrique whose command found the island of Porto Santo in 1418).

The exhibition at the Literary Club of Porto, reflects the theme of the forthcoming fourth edition of the Biennale: "Homo Virtualis" which will also be implemented in Porto Santo. Given the similarity between the two exhibition spaces, the exhibit will be reassembled in the gallery of the Historic Building of the City.

Since the theme for the Fourth Biennial Porto Santo is "Homo Virtualis, which reflects the virtual aspects of our civilization, the BOOK will be a specific subject of this exhibition, in turn reflecting the ambiguity of this object can now be either real or virtual (...), covering different possible contents in art concepts.
